CAS STUDENT GOVERNMENT COMMITTEES
We are branched into and organized by four different committees: Advocacy, Student Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Community Affairs.
Advocacy is responsible to ensure the voices of CAS students are heard on campus issues. Members work collaboratively on projects aimed to solve issues students are facing on campus. This is our mechanism to help students voice their needs and concerns on campus.
The Student Affairs Committee is responsible for organizing academic and social activities open to the student body. This is accomplished by planning events (both large and small) and hosting them frequently throughout the semester.
The Community Affairs (CA) Committee promotes the messages and missions of CAS students and CAS-affiliated clubs through the cultivation of collaborative programming. More specifically, the Community Affairs committee hosts social programming and creates academic opportunities in association with CAS-affiliated clubs and departments to benefit the wider student body.
Internal Affairs is responsible in ensuring communication between the CAS student body and the CAS Student Government. In addition, Internal Affairs aims to promote other on campus organizations affiliated with CAS and various opportunities available to our students.
