Matt is a senior majoring in Sociology and Economics, with minors in Public Policy Analysis and Urban Studies. This year, he will serve as the President of the CAS Student Government, leading the Executive Board and facilitating many exciting initiatives. In addition to his role in CAS StuGov, Matt is an Admissions Ambassador and Scarlet Speaker for BU Admissions, the President of the BU Undergraduate Sociology Association, and a concert photographer for WTBU. Outside of school, he enjoys running along the Esplanade, exploring Boston, listening to new music, and hanging out with friends. After graduation, he hopes to attend graduate school with a focus on sustainable city design and progressive urban policy.

Jad is a senior from Beirut, Lebanon, majoring in Biology and Human Physiology on the pre-med track. This year, he will serve as the Executive Vice President of CAS Student Government, contributing to the leadership and initiatives of the Executive Board. Outside of student government, Jad is a Resident Assistant for South Campus, an undergraduate teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry I & II, and an incoming Exercise Technology intern at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He enjoys watching and reviewing films, trying new restaurants in Boston, and relaxing on the beach. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in medicine and attend medical school.

Major(s): CMG biology and Comparative Literature

Mia is a junior double majoring in CMG Biology and Comparative Literature (with a focus on Russian and Japanese literature) and is also pre-med. She was born and raised in Marblehead, Massachusetts, and firmly believes Massachusetts is the best state in the U.S. She has served on the Student Affairs Committee throughout her freshman and sophomore years and is ecstatic to be serving as the VP. Outside of StuGov, Mia is involved in research, studying small intestinal tumors at DFCI and volunteers in the infusion center at MGH. When she’s not studying or working, Mia loves going on long walks around the city, thrifting, crocheting, expanding her vinyl and cassette collections, reading, hiking, and venturing around with friends.

Tejas is a senior majoring in Economics and Mathematics with a minor in Data Science. She was born and raised in India. This will be her fourth year serving as the VP of Internal Affairs on the Executive Board, and she is excited to end it right where she started, with many new goals in mind. Outside of CAS Student Government, Tejas is the President of Art Club, works as a Digital Media Assistant for the Development and Alumni Relations Office at BU, serves as an International Peer Mentor, and freelances as a digital art designer for offices like OSPL and the CAS Experiential Learning Connector. In her free time, she loves trying out new coffee and matcha shops, taking long walks around the city, going on wild excursions, crocheting, and spending time with her friends!

Ajay Raman

Graduation Year: 2026
Ajay Raman is a student from Walpole, Massachusetts, pursuing a BA in Economics and Mathematics and an MA in Economics in the class of 2026. Besides his role as the Treasurer of the College of Arts and Sciences Student Government, he is the Senior Editor of the undergraduate economics journal and the Director of Delegate Affairs for BosMUN XXIV. Beyond academics, Ajay is interested in exploring new cuisines and staying active through basketball, soccer, and tennis.

Simon Anderson

Simon Anderson serves as the advisor to the College of Arts and Sciences Student Government. Simon grew up in New Jersey and is a two-time BU alum, earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in high-school math education. After graduating he worked in BU Residence Life and BU’s College of Engineering before starting in CAS. Outside of the office you can find Simon chasing his toddler, racing marathons, and listening to punk rock.
